THE CLEAR CREEK CAMPGROUND
From Seattle go north on 1-5 to Arlington Exit 90 east on Hwy. 530 to town of Darrington, go south on Mt Loop Hwy. for approximately 15 miles to Clear Creek Campground, Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, Darrington Ranger District.
Clear Creek is another of the small and lovely campgrounds on the Scenic Loop Highway in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. It is just 4 miles outside of the town of Darrington and a perfect place to start a tour of the Mountain Loop Road. The Sauk River flanks all 13 sites with the mellow sound of flowing waters and you are on the edge of scenic mountain views. Like several other campgrounds on the scenic loop Recreation Resource Management manages it and there is usually a host on duty.
Like all of the campgrounds on the Scenic Loop Highway it is close to a variety of hiking trails and activities.
