THE BEDAL CAMPGROUND

Bedal Campground

From Seattle go north on 1-5 to Arlington Exit 90 east on Hwy. 30 to town of Darrington, go south on Mt Loop Hwy. for approximately 15 miles to Bedal Campground, Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, Darrington Ranger District.

Bedal Campground is a bit more remote but the payoff is a more pristine setting in old growth forest along the Sauk river. This small campground offers 22 sites with a sense of privacy and a few surprises, like a large adirondack shelter built of old growth timber. Bring your own water, vault toilets are available. The sound of the river can be heard throughout and it is reputed that a good view of mountain goats on White Chuck Mountain is to be had in late summer.

There is an abundance of trails and sites nearby on the Mountain Loop. Popular activities in the area are fishing, hiking and bicycle riding.
