Gatton Creek Campground is a small walk-in campground located near The Quinault Ranger Station on the South Shore of Lake Quinault. The five sites are spread out along a short trail in the lakeside woodlands giving a sense of privacy and direct access to the lake. As you see on the campground map Gatton Creek walk-in is accessed from the far end of a parking area. On the other end a short trail through a wetlands area gives access to three day use picnic sites at the mouth of Gatton Creek. From here you can scan beautiful views of the lake surrounded by lush rainforest and let your eyes gaze far off into the Quinault River Valley. The sites are first come first serve. There are both walk-in and picnic sites with wheelchair accessability. The barrier free toilet facility is located at the parking area which also serves as an overflow site for self-contained RV's. There is no potable water here but water is available at Falls Creek Campground half a mile away.
