Visited today to check this out for summer camping. Easy to find, about 60 miles from Everett. Once onto the dirt road, some potholes still present after the spring road repairs. One mile later, many more potholes, so driving care is needed. Road isn't designed for > 20MPH.

Campsites appear clean, tho many campers had large piles of garbage strewn about. Some dogs - always barking - kids present so be careful when driving.

Pit toilets are clean but bring your own hand sanitizer: no dispensers made available. Might want to bring a flashlight or wear a head lamp; the insides are quite dark.

Close to the river - scenic. Road noise is very present so you'll want to consider a campsite on the loop road opposite I90.

yes, this campground is right off I-90, so you'll need to factor road noise as a consideration. however, we've found its proximity to the city (we live in tacoma) to be perfect for those weeks where you just need to get away! it's easy to hit the road on friday night after work and arrive at Tinkham before sundown so you can get your site all set up. the road noise is easily overlooked in favor of the convenience factor at that point. :)
